We spent 2 days exploring it. Different view points, different angles. We even took a hike down into the canyon to get a better perspective. My legs felt like rubber as we descended down into it and then looked up! It blows my mind that there is such beauty! I will post some pictures, but remember they do not do it justice. If you ever have the chance go see for yourself this amazing wonder!
As you can see from all the pictures the weather was beautiful both days we were there. Perfect hiking weather. It got a little toasty when we hiked down in the canyon and then had to climb back up!
Admiring the beauty
Almost lost him :)
We managed to save this one too!
Having fun!
on top of the world!
Awesome pictures. Thanks for sharing them
ReplyDeleteYour description sounds just like the song of one of my favorite songwriters bout when he
First saw the Grand Canyon

Here's a short excerpt:
A picture paints a thousand words
But the photographs don't tell it all
Well, I see the eagles swim the Canyon Sea
Creation yawns in front of me
Oh Lord, I never felt so small
And I don't believe
That I believed in you as deeply as today
I reckon what I'm sayin' as there's nothing more
Nothing more to say
Sounds like you all had a great time. When will you make it back home? I bet Lambeau will go nuts when he sees you. Love you all and praying for safety the rest of the way home
